MS MR, The Head & The Heart Set for “Tonight Show with Jay Leno”

A “Hurricane” is approaching “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

NBC confirmed in a release Monday that burgeoning indie-pop duo MS MR will play the December 9 edition of its legendary “Tonight Show.” The New York-based act, which treated its fans to the news four days earlier, has already confirmed it will be playing breakthrough song “Hurricane” on the show.

Simon Cowell and Megyn Kelly will function as Leno’s interview guests.

Other musical acts announced for the week of December 9, which brings forth “Tonight Show” originals after a week of re-runs, include The Head and the Heart and Switchfoot. Full listings follow:

Monday, December 9 – Guests include Simon Cowell, Megyn Kelly with musical guest MS MR

Tuesday, December 10 – Guests include Kirstie Alley, Turtleman Ernie Brown Jr. with musical guest Switchfoot

Wednesday, December 11 – Guests include Tyler Perry, Ken Jeong with musical guest The Head and The Heart

Thursday, December 12 – Guests include Kevin Hart, Brooklyn Decker with musical guest Chris Young
