“Almost Human” Ratings Fall, “Sleepy Hollow” Sinks to Low

FOX’s freshman drama “Almost Human” did not crash in its second week, but it did follow last week’s underwhelming time period premiere with an even more modest number.

Monday’s episode posted a lukewarm 1.9 adults 18-49 rating with 6.56 million viewers. Fourth in its timeslot among programming on the five networks, “Human” is not proving itself more valuable in the timeslot than veteran series “Bones” did.

With buzz cooling, 9PM freshman “Sleepy Hollow” sank to a series low 2.2 adults 18-49 rating and 5.82 million viewers. Its performance is acceptable for a new series–and a moot point, anyway, given that the show has already been renewed for season two–but it presents further difficulty for those wishing to call the series a breakout hit. At this point, it is simply a reliable timeslot performer.
