Sunday Night Football Ratings Surge for Broncos, Chiefs Game

Sunday’s AFC West showdown between the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs drew impressive ratings for NBC.

The Sunday Night Football game, which saw the Peyton Manning-led Broncos hand their divisional rivals their first loss of the season, drew a 16.7 overnight metered market rating.

Up significantly from last week’s Saints-Cowboys number (which was impressive in its own right), the performance was only 3% below the 17.3 delivered by last month’s marquee Broncos vs. Colts game.

Easily the top-rated show on television Sunday, the game ended in favor of the Broncos by a score of 27-17. Both teams are now 9-1.
