“American Horror Story” Ratings Rise Again for “Axeman”

With its “The Axeman Cometh” episode, “American Horror Story: Coven” once again chopped up its competition.

The latest episode of the FX anthology series scored a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating with 4.16 million viewers. Up from last week’s 2.2, it represents a second consecutive week of improved numbers and the show’s best performance since October 16.

Enough to give “AHS” a victory in the nightly cable ratings race (a TBS re-run of “The Big Bang Theory” placed second with a 1.4 and 3.17 million), the adults 18-49 number was also topped that of all 10PM broadcast series.

“American Horror Story,” which is enjoying its best-rated season yet, has already renewed for a fourth go-around.
