ABC’s “Betrayal” Ratings Fall, “Revenge,” “Once” Also Down

The ice has officially melted.

After a few weeks of stability, ABC’s low-rated new drama “Betrayal” finally lost its comfortable footing. Sunday’s episode slipped by 20% to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating. Approximately 3.25 million viewers tuned into the episode.

Despite delivering tepid ratings out of the gate, “Betrayal” managed to avoid a rapid cancellation. With this latest drop, however, it becomes difficult to rationalize how the serialized drama will earn any sort of long-term future from the network.

The weakest part of its Sunday lineup, “Betrayal” is not the only cause for disappointment.

Following a soft 1.3 with 6.97 million viewers for “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” Sunday flagship “Once Upon a Time” could only muster an underwhelming 2.1 with 6.63 million. “Revenge,” which made gains last week, fell right back down to a poor 1.4 with 5.50 million at 9PM.
