Former WWE Diva Responds to Reports On Why She Was Released

Ivelisse Velez, who performed as Sofia Cortez in WWE’s FCW and NXT developmental programs, expressed shock at reports that she was let go from WWE due to a perception of attitude problems.

Responding to various Tweets on the matter, all of which were second- or third-hand references to F4WOnline.com’s report on the story, Velez wrote “wow,” “Just wow,” “Lies” and “Lies. Period.”

It should be noted that the F4W story was not outright alleging Velez actually had attitude problems or condemning her backstage personality; it was simply echoing the supposed perception some WWE officials had regarding the Diva’s ego.

When the nature of F4W’s report was clarified by a fan, Velez responded, “ooh ok,” but it ultimately remains unclear that her initial repudiation was over the allegation that she had a problematic ego or the report that she was fired due to perceivedattitude issues.

What Velez is seemingly coming, however, is that she was “screwed” in the release process.

Tweeting at released WWE Superstar Brian “Abraham Washington” Jossie, who now goes by @BJRatedR on Twitter, Velez wrote, “I got screwed too bro. #IFeelYaPain.”
