The Jamal Crawford race is reportedly over, with a report claiming that the guard will sign a multi-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Crawford’s deal will be valued at $15.7 million over three years. Prior to news of the signing, Crawford had been targeted by numerous teams, including the Celtics, Pacers, Timberwolves and Sixers.
In addition to adding the former Sixth Man of the Year to the mix, the Clippers have also re-signed Chauncey Billups for a one-year deal worth up to $4.3 million.
With Crawford and Billups on the roster for next season, the Clippers have pulled themselves out of the Ray Allen race. The team, of course, was unlikely to win that race anyway, given indications that Allen is going to sign with the Miami Heat.
