Rampage Jackson, Rashad Evans Fighting for Title Shot at UFC 114

As if it needed a formal clarification, UFC President Dana White confirmed this week that the winner of the Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans fight at UFC 114 will receive a Light Heavyweight Title shot.

“I did commit to the winner [of the main event] getting a title shot,” said White during a conference call for the event.

Evans and Jackson, former UFC Light Heavyweight champions, escalated their rivalry as opposing coaches on season ten of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

The winner now has more at stake than bragging rights–he has a date in the Octagon with new champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
