“The Ultimate Fighter 10,” With Kimbo Slice, Scores Record Rating

The Seth Petruzelli knockout did nothing to hurt Kimbo Slice’s drawing power, as the brawler’s UFC television debut on the season premiere of “The Ultimate Fighter 10” posted a record rating.

The show did a 2.9 cable household rating with 4.1 million viewers. Its key demographic performance was also impressive–a 2.5 in adults 18-49 and a 4.4 in males 18-34. It was the most-watched episode of the Spike TV series to date.

Beyond the Kimbo Slice intrigue, the tenth season of the UFC reality show, which has been praised as one of the best seasons ever, also features the anticipated coaching rivalry between Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

“UFC Fight Night,” which led into the TUF10 season premiere, did a stronger-than-usual 1.9 household rating.
