Update 4: It appears that six of Monday’s “The Voice” performances were in the Top 10 on US iTunes when the 12PM ET voting deadline arrived.

Headline Planet initially reported that Britton Buchanan’s “Where You Come From” (#1), Brynn Cartelli’s “Walk My Way” (#3), Spensha Baker’s “Old Soul” (#4), Cartelli’s “Skyfall” (#6) and Kyla Jade’s “The Last Tear” (#9) held Top 10 positions when voting closed.

Buchanan, however, noted that his version of “Good Lovin'” also held a Top 10 position at the voting deadline. While Headline Planet saw the song at #12, numerous fans shared screenshots to support the claim that the song was #10 on the all-genre US iTunes chart.

Buchanan has since confirmed that he received “official word” of the song’s Top 10 status.

By virtue of their Top 10 positions, “Where You Come From,” “Walk My Way,” “Old Soul,’ “Skyfall,” “The Last Tear,” and “Good Lovin'” will all receive 5x multipliers on their overnight iTunes vote/download totals.

Update 3: In verifying iTunes positions using the native application and multiple third-party feeds, Headline Planet saw five “The Voice” recordings in the Top 10 at the 12PM voting deadline:

Britton Buchanan’s “Where You Come From” at #1, Brynn Cartelli’s “Walk My Way” at #3, Spensha Baker’s “Old Soul” at #4, Cartelli’s “Skyfall” at #6, and Kyla Jade’s “The Last Tear” at #9.

Buchanan and numerous fans, however, say that his “Good Lovin'” was also in the Top 10 at the 12PM ET voting deadline. Screenshots shared via social media support the claim that it was #10.

While Headline Planet cannot independently confirm that position (we saw it at #12), we felt inclined to share what others noticed. Songs that occupied Top 10 positions at the voting deadline will receive 5x multipliers on their overnight iTunes vote/download total.

iTunes charts are famously subject to caching issues, so discrepancies are not uncommon (though they rarely carry this level of significance).

“The Voice” will, presumably, offer official word during Tuesday night’s results show.
