In the immediate aftermath of Friday’s premiere, the soundtrack to “Descendants 2” blasted into the Top 5 on the US iTunes sales chart.

By Monday afternoon, it had reached the pinnacle of the listing.

“Descendants 2” is #1 on the all-genre US listing as of 4:45PM ET. It seized the throne from Lana Del Rey’s “Lust For Life,” which had occupied the #1 slot since its debut late Thursday/early Friday.

In addition to performing well as an overall album, the “Descendants 2” soundtrack is generating ample interest in the individual tracks. Several tracks appear inside the Top 100 on the US iTunes song sales chart.

Top-performing songs include “It’s Goin’ Down” (#28), “What’s My Name” (#32) and “Chillin’ Like A Villain” (#33).
