The Revivalists’ “Wish I Knew You” Reaches #1 At Alternative Radio

“Wish I Knew You” earns #1 on the alternative chart — and sets a record for most plays in a single week.

Last week, Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” set the Mediabase record for most single-week spins at alternative radio.

This week, The Revivalists’ “Wish I Knew You” sets a new record.

“Wish I Knew You,” which rises one spot to #1 on this week’s Mediabase alternative chart, received 3,488 spins during the official tracking period.

For “Wish I Knew You,” the count represents a week-over-week gain of 301. It meanwhile tops last week’s “Believer” mark by 89 spins.

“Believer,” which spent the past six weeks at #1, falls to #2 this week. It received 3,362 plays during the April 30-May 6 tracking week (-37).

Cold War Kids’ “Love Is Mystical” holds at #3 with 2,615 spins (+62), while a spin count of 2,364 (+75) keeps Bastille’s “Blame” at #5.

Credited with 2,240 tracking period spins (+79), Cage The Elephant’s “Cold Cold Cold” holds at #5.
