Ratings: AMC’s “The Walking Dead” Enjoys Slight Gain This Week

The Walking Dead [AMC]

The streak of declines is over: this week’s “The Walking Dead” posted gains in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s extended “TWD” drew a 4.95 adults 18-49 rating and 10.48 million total viewers. The numbers best the 4.90 rating and 10.40 million garnered by last week’s episode.

While not numerically significant, the gains are very welcome for a show which had fallen each week since its season premiere.

As always, Sunday’s “The Walking Dead” was Sunday’s highest-rated and most-watched cable original. It was the night’s top non-sports program (on broadcast or network) in adults 18-49 and will rank as the week’s highest-rated scripted show on all of television.

It will also receive its characteristically sizable gains from delayed viewing.

— “The Walking Dead” led into “Talking Dead,” which drew a 1.69 adults 18-49 rating and 3.77 million total viewers. The numbers actually trail the 1.71 rating and 3.78 million viewer mark posted by last week’s post-game show.
