Thanks to “on the hour” airplay promotions and industry enthusiasm, P!nk’s “Just Like Fire” got off to a hot start at the pop and hot adult contemporary radio formats.

The song, which appears on the “Alice Through The Looking Glass” soundtrack, received 798 opening day pop spins. It received 565 first day hot adult contemporary spins.

The pop spin count slots “Just Like Fire” at #41 on Mediabase’s building pop chart, which ranks songs based on airplay for the first six days of the April 10-16 tracking week. While its second day will not be as big as its first day, if it receives upwards of 150-200 spins on Saturday, it would likely enter the Top 40 on this week’s official pop chart.

“Just Like Fire” is positioned even more impressively at Hot AC. It opening day spin count results in a #30 position on the building Hot AC chart.

The song’s official debut airplay positions will be revealed Sunday.
