Maroon 5’s “Sugar” Goes Top 20 at Pop Radio

One of pop radio’s fastest-rising songs is now one of its twenty biggest.

Maroon 5’s “Sugar,” which enjoyed the format’s third-greatest spin gain this week, claims the #18 spot on Mediabase’s weekly pop radio airplay chart. It was #23 on last week’s edition of the chart.

According to Mediabase, the song commanded 5,560 spins during the January 25-31 tracking week. That count bests last week’s mark by an impressive 1,886.

As previously reported, Taylor Swift’s “Style” also hops into the top 20 (and top 15) this week. It rises to #14 (+7) on the strength of its 6,120 spins.

— A multi-format offering, “Sugar” is now the #15 song at hot adult contemporary radio and the #29 track at adult contemporary.
