Ratings: Showtime’s “The Affair” Viewership Falls; “Homeland” Hits Season High

For only the second time this season, Showtime’s “The Affair” endured an episode-to-episode viewership decline.

After attracting a series high 877,000 viewers for its previous original on November 23, the critically acclaimed freshman garnered 759,000 this Sunday. It ranks as the series’ third-greatest total to date.

The episode also slid in the adults 18-49 demographic. This week’s rating, which registered at a 0.20, trails that of the November 23 episode by 0.03.

Lead-in “Homeland,” meanwhile, attracted its third consecutive season high viewership mark. Its audience level registered at 1.947 million, which comfortably bests the 1.774 million attracted on November 23

The show’s adults 18-49 rating improved slightly to a 0.60.
