Ratings: “The Affair” Viewership Grows By 16%

While Sunday’s “The Affair” actually took a slight hit in the adults 18-49 demographic, it once again enjoyed an uptick in total viewership.

Representing the third gain in as many weeks, viewership for Sunday’s episode of the Showtime drama clocked in at 692,000. Last week’s episode drew 599,000 viewers, which bested the 512,000 drawn by episode two and 507,000 garnered by the premiere.

The same level of increase did not, however, extend to the show’s adults 18-49 mark. After posting a 0.19 last week, “The Affair” this week slipped to a 0.18 rating. Since most archives will round both numbers to a 0.2, however, the differential will prove moot in most comparative circumstances.

Lead-in “Homeland” drew a 0.53 adults 18-49 rating (rounded to a 0.5) with 1.54 million viewers. That performance nearly mirrored that of the previous episode, which clocked in at a 0.53 with 1.53 million.
