Tove Lo’s “Habits” Debuts at #66 on Billboard Hot 100

After developing a presence on several important music charts, Tove Lo’s breakthrough “Habits (Stay High)” finally arrives on the most significant of all.

The alternative crossover attempt, which is on the verge of an official impact at Top 40 radio, debuts at #66 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.

Represented on the iTunes Single Sales chart by both Hippie Sabotage’s reversal remix (#77) and the original Tove Lo version (#177), “Habits” has spent the past several weeks making waves on the alternative airplay chart. As of press time, it was the format’s eighteenth-most-played song.

Excited about the song’s crossover potential, several pop radio stations, including Los Angeles’ influential KIIS, added it to their playlists in advance of the song’s official Top 40 impact date.

A recently released remix by The Chainsmokers also fueled excitement in the Swedish singer-songwriter’s track.

“Habits” ranks behind 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Good Girls” (#34) and Lil Wayne’s “Believe Me” (featuring Drake)” (#36) as the third-strongest debut on this week’s Hot 100.
