Tessanne Chin Wins “The Voice,” Debuts Single “Tumbling Down”

Though iTunes only represents one of the available voting channels, it has proven itself to be a reliable indicator of fan interest through the fifth season of “The Voice.”

In recent weeks, if one’s singles were selling poorly on iTunes, it was almost a given he was going to find himself in the bottom three.

And after her final numbers sored to the top of the iTunes charts following Monday’s performance show, it seemed a given that Tessanne Chin was going to emerge as the fifth winner of NBC’s “The Voice.”

The barometer was not faulty. Chin, a member of Team Adam Levine, was crowned the victor at the end of Tuesday’s two-hour live broadcast.

Following the announcement, an emotional Chin performed “Tumbling Down.” Written by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, the original song will serve as Chin’s first official single.

As expected, Team Christina Aguilera member Jacquie Lee finished in second place. Chin’s teammate Will Champlin placed third.
