Kygo & Whitney Houston’s “Higher Love” Officially Earns #1 At US Dance Radio

“Higher Love” convincingly ranks as dance radio’s #1 song.

Kygo & Whitney Houston’s hit rendition of “Higher Love” reaches the pinnacle of this week’s Mediabase US dance radio chart.

Played ~402 times during the August 25-31 tracking period, “Higher Love” rises three places to #1 on the listing. This week’s spin count tops last week’s by 79 plays.

Sigala & Becky Hill’s “Wish You Well” holds at #2 on this week’s chart. The song posted a tracking period play count of ~328 (-41).

Mahalo & DLMT’s “So Cold (featuring Lily Denning)” stays put at #3, while Jess Glynne & Jax Jones’ “One Touch” rises one place to #4.

Cheat Codes & Daniel Blume’s “Who’s Got Your Love,” last week’s #1 song, slides to #5 on this week’s chart.

— The late Houston first recorded a cover of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” thirty years ago. Released this summer, the new version finds Kygo re-working Houston’s recording.

It has proven to be quite successful, reaching #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and now on the Mediabase dance listing. It has also charted at US pop radio, while scoring plenty of love from international audiences. The video starring Vanessa Morgan and Mason Cutler premiered earlier this week.
