HBO’s “Euphoria” Renewed For Season 2 Following Series High Viewership Performance

“Euphoria” is getting a second season at HBO.

As first reported by Headline Planet, this past Sunday’s edition of “Euphoria” drew the show’s best live+same-day TV viewership figure yet.

On the heels of the viewership gain, HBO has officially confirmed a second season of the drama.

“Euphoria creator Sam Levinson has built an incredible world with an extraordinary cast led by the supremely talented Zendaya. We are so grateful that he chose HBO as the home for this groundbreaking series,” said HBO’s Francesca Orsi. “We look forward to following these complex characters as their journeys continue through the challenging world they inhabit.”

In addition to solid overall numbers (the premiere has amassed over 5.5 million total viewers across all HBO platforms), the show is drawing HBO’s youngest audience on streaming platforms.

Season one will continue this Sunday, July 14. The broadcast will mark the fifth of the show’s eight first-season installments.
