As Ariana Grande begins her “Sweetener World Tour,” she can celebrate new RIAA song and album certifications.
According to Republic Records, Grande’s hit single “no tears left to cry” has officially reached 3x platinum status in the United States. The award confirms 3 million in US song units, with each unit equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.
“God is a woman,” the follow-up to “no tears left to cry,” has meanwhile received a 2x platinum award (2 million units).
In addition to the new single certifications, Grande picked up platinum award for her recently released albums “sweetener” and “thank u, next.” A platinum album award signifies 1 million in US album units, with each equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.
