Ariana Grande’s “Breathin” Received Opening Day Pop Radio Airplay In Boston, Nashville, More

“Breathin” received a considerable amount of first-day airplay at pop radio.

In addition to enjoying early success on iTunes and Spotify, Ariana Grande’s “breathin” attracted ample attention at pop radio.

The song, which appears on Grande’s new “Sweetener” album, received a significant amount of release-day airplay.

According to Mediabase, Boston’s Kiss 108 had played “breathin” a whopping 20 times by the end of Friday.

Other big supporters include Nashville’s 107.5 The River (8 spins), Omaha’s 96.1 KISS (7 spins), Milwaukeek’s 97-3 NOW (7 spins), Syracuse’s Hot 107.9 (7 spins), San Francisco’s WiLD 94.9 (7 spins), Greensboro’s 100.3 KISS (7 spins), Lancaster’s FM97 (7 spins), and Tampa’s 93.3 FLZ (7 spins). Dozens of other stations played the song between 1-6 times Friday.

The airplay was fueled, in part, by network-wide support from iHeartMedia. Numerous iHeart stations played “breathin” — and other tracks like “R.E.M.” and album title track “Sweetener” — on multiple occasions Friday.

Grande meanwhile continues to receive airplay for lead single “no tears left to cry” and current single “god is a woman.” The songs are in the pop format’s Top 10 and Top 15, respectively.
