The figure ranks as the show’s best Tuesday number since November 24, 2015. It marks a 33% increase over the 1.8 rating posted by last Tuesday’s broadcast.
Yes, the episode benefited from an absence of original competition. CBS’ “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” and NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” both aired re-runs Tuesday night.
It is important to note, however, that this Tuesday’s episode outperformed the corresponding episode from 2015, which also faced re-runs of “Colbert” and “Fallon.”
