Whether it can follow in the chart-topping footsteps of “On My Mind” remains to be seen, but Ellie Goulding’s follow-up “Something In The Way You Move” is generating a healthy level of early support.
The second “Delirium” single received 23 Mediabase-monitored Hot AC adds in conjunction with this week’s official impact. The count positions “Something” as the week’s most added song.
“Something In The Way You Move” had already cracked the Hot AC Top 40 ahead of this week’s impact. The new support will allow it to keep moving up the airplay charat.
Picked up by 21 stations, Elle King’s new “America’s Sweetheart” follows as second-most added. It, too, is the follow-up to a Hot AC radio #1; King’s “Ex’s And Oh’s” topped the chart late last year.
Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” follows in third with 15 adds, while Empire Of The Sun’s “Walking On A Dream” and A Great Big World’s “Oasis” complete the add board’s Top 5. They received 11 adds and 9 adds, respectively.
This week’s other notable Hot AC options: Ben Rector’s “Brand New” (8 adds, 6th-most, tie), Daya’s “Hide Away” (8, 6th, tie), DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean” (7 adds, 8th, tie), Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” (7 adds, 8th, tie), Vance Joy’s “Fire And The Food” (7 adds, 8th, tie).
