While it reaches the highest mark, The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” is not the only new addition to the Top 50 of Mediabase’s pop radio airplay chart.
Six other songs, in fact, reach that portion of the chart.
Leading the charge is Jidenna’s “Classic Man.” Already a Top 10 rhythmic hit and Top 15 urban hit, “Classic Man” reaches #44 on this week’s pop airplay chart. Up seven places, it received 736 spins (+339) during the June 7-13 tracking week.
The follow-up to Natalie La Rose’s platinum hit “Somebody (featuring Jeremih)” also reaches the Top 50 this week. Spun 438 times during the aforementioned tracking week (+201), La Rose’s new “Around the World (featuring Fetty Wap)” soars nineteen places to a new high of #45. The song formally impacts the pop format this week.
Two weeks ago, Bea Miller’s “Fire N Gold” reached the Top 60 at pop radio. This week, it jumps seven places to a new high of #46 on the chart. Cut from Miller’s upcoming “Not an Apology,” the song received 428 plays during the June 7-13 tracking week (+64).
“Back it Up,” which is the follow-up to Prince Royce’s “On the Verge”-boosted “Stuck On a Feelling,” also joins the Top 50 this week. The song jumps eighteen places to #48 on the strength of its 405 weekly spins (+180).
Tech N9ne’s “Hood Go Crazy (featuring 2 Chainz & BoB),” which, like “Fire N Gold,” reached the Top 60 two weeks ago, enters the Top 50 this week. The song rises six places to #49 on the strength of its 400 weekly spins (+58).
Up seven places, MAGIC!’s “No Way No” claims the #50 position. It received 348 weekly spins (+37).
