Muse’s “Dead Inside” Tops Alt Radio for 5th Week; Breaking Benjamin Still #1 at Rock

X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” is rapidly closing the gap, but a gap still persists. Muse’s “Dead Inside” earns a fifth week atop the Mediabase alternative airplay chart.

Breaking Benjamin’s “Failure,” meanwhile, spends a fifth straight week at #1 on the Mediabase active rock chart.

For “Dead Inside,” the latest victory comes courtesy the song’s ~2,458 tracking week spins. “Renegades,” which rises to #2 this week, garnered ~2,375 plays during the May 31-June 6 tracking week.

twenty one pilots’ “Tear in My Heart” (#3, ~2,041), Death Cab for Cutie’s “Black Sun” (#4, ~2,022) and Vance Joy’s “Mess is Mine” (#5, ~1,833) also appear in the alternative radio Top 5.

“Failure” tops active rock on the strength of its ~2,200 tracking week spins.

Distantly separated, Theory of a Deadman’s “Angel” claims #2 with ~1,682 weekly plays. Zac Brown Band’s “Heavy is the Head (featuring Chris Cornell)” follows at #3 with ~1,633, while Three Days Grace’s “Human Race” (#4, ~1,576) and Royal Blood’s “Little Monster” (#5, ~1,561) complete the top five.
