As catchy as it was biting and timely, Maddie and Tae’s debut single “Girl in a Country Song” took the country world by storm immediately upon its emergence last summer.
And after initially amplifying the conversation about the portrayal (and role) of women in country music and spawning an immensely popular music video, it ultimately surged to #1 on the Mediabase and Billboard country radio airplay charts.
Now firmly in the country music conversation, Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye are ready to enter the next phase of their journey towards long-term superstardom.
They commence that phase by performing the understated yet powerful “Fly” on Friday’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
“Fly,” which first appeared on Maddie & Tae’s self-titled EP, will then formally impact country radio on January 26.
