==================
You oughta know the act performing on Thursday’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
If not, you’ll have a chance to watch the act before its episode of “Tonight” airs on NBC.
Making optimal use of its time in New York City, four-piece band Echosmith is appearing on both VH1’s “You Oughta Know” live concert special and NBC’s “Tonight Show” this Thursday.
The latter appearance was technically taped before the VH1 gig, but it will not air until the end of Thursday’s 11:35PM ET NBC broadcast. The VH1 special airs at 9PM ET.
One of the year’s monthly “You Oughta Know” acts, Echosmith was also crowned an Artist to Watch by MTV, promoted as an “On the Verge” artist by iHeartRadio and spotlighted as an act set to break by Headline Planet.
The band’s most notable success came via hit single “Cool Kids,” which charted on five radio formats. Still a top five single at hot adult contemporary radio, “Cool Kids” is up to #15 at adult contemporary radio. It peaked in the top ten at pop radio (where it remains a top twenty hit) and continues to claim a top 40 position at alternative and AAA radio.
