Update: Able to match last week’s performance in the overnight metered market ratings, Tuesday’s “Glee” nonetheless endured a decline in viewership.
“Tested,” this week’s episode, attracted an average audience of 2.44 million viewers.
Mirroring the circumstances of several recent “Glee” episodes, the broadcast lost viewers as it progressed. After attracting 2.64 million viewers for the 8-8:30PM half hour, it settled for 2.26 million from 8:30-9PM.
While it was down in total viewership, Tuesday’s “Glee” nonetheless matched last week’s 1.0 adults 18-49 rating.
“New Girl” and “The Mindy Project,” which occupied FOX’s 9PM hour, posted a 1.2 with 2.19 million viewers and a 1.0 with 1.95 million viewers, respectively.

It is no longer a strong ratings performer for FOX, but if the past few weeks are any indication, it is at least a consistent one.
Tuesday’s edition of “Glee,” which continued the show’s stint in New York, matched last week’s series low 2.0 overnight household rating.
The news comes in the wake of Ryan Murphy’s announcement that the show is likely to another setting–and time–shift for its sixth and final season.
It is presently unclear if the show’s adults 18-49 rating and total viewership average will also align with last week’s showing. “Bash,” last week’s installment, posted a 1.0 A18-49 rating with 2.78 million viewers. This week’s versions of those numbers will be released by 11:30AM.
FOX followed “Glee” with “New Girl” (1.9 overnight household rating) and “The Mindy Project” (1.8 overnight household rating).
