More than a year of word-of-mouth, coupled with strong promotion from AMC, helped propel the season four premiere of “Breaking Bad” to series high viewership.
Building on last season’s premiere, which scored about 2 million viewers and a 0.9 in the adults 18-49 demo, season four opened to 2.6 million viewers with a 1.1 demo rating. Among adults 18-49, it was the cable network’s best premiere outside of the much-broader-skewing “The Walking Dead.”
The airing also set records in households and adults 25-54.
