With the Brock Lesnar possibility seemingly off the table, the word from F4WOnline.com is that WWE is eyeing either Wade Barrett or Kane as Undertaker’s WrestleMania 27 opponent.
During Monday’s RAW, WWE hinted at a Nexus/Wade Barrett vs. Undertaker angle by implying that there was a bigger story behind the group’s attack on ‘Taker at Bragging Rights. Based on David Otunga’s cryptic comments about revealing the motivations for the attack, seeds are definitely being planted for a program with Barrett and Undertaker.
Kane, however, remains in the picture due to the fact that the pair’s current feud will apparently be put on hold while Undertaker addresses his shoulder injury. With rumors suggesting Undertaker might not return until shortly before the ‘Mania pay-per-view, there would be natural interest in picking up that feud and finally giving Undertaker his win over Kane.
Plus, with the talk that WWE wanted this to represent a final Kane vs. Undertaker feud, a WrestleMania match would make for an ideal conclusion.
