“The Event” Ratings Slip Again, “Hawaii Five-0” Also Down

Monday’s high-profile new dramas “The Event” and “Hawaii Five-0” have both received full season orders from their respective networks, but their ratings performances continue to disappoint.

NBC’s “The Event” slipped again this week, falling to a 2.0 adults 18-49 Nielsen rating with 5.93 million viewers. A series low, the rating actually slipped below the 2.0 mark for the second hour, a very unfortunate sign for the serialized drama.

Other NBC performers included “Chuck” (1.9 rating, 5.39 million viewers) and “Chase” (1.3, 4.91 million).

CBS’ “5-0,” meanwhile, dropped to a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating with 10.04 million viewers. Dangerously close to posting a viewership count below 10 million, the new series, while popular on DVR, continues to fall short of live broadcast expectations.

It was otherwise business as usual for The Eye Monday, save for a slight uptick for new comedy “Mike & Molly” (10.85 million viewers, 3.6 rating). The usual suspects included “How I Met Your Mother” (8.38 million viewers, 3.2), “Rules of Engagement” (8.27 million, 2.9) and “Two and a Half Men” (13.67 million, 4.3).
