Not even the heavily-hyped lure of Jack Bauer getting tortured (again) and a twist ending were enough to keep Monday’s “24” afloat against the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Against the Games and sans an original “House” lead-in, “24” dipped to a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating with 8.5 million viewers. THRFeed has labeled the rating a series low, an unfortunate milestone for a show that is already on the bubble for continuing past this season.
“The Bachelor,” however, continued its strong season, posting a 4.0 rating with 11.5 million viewers. The female-skewing series nearly matched last week’s outing and gave ABC a second-place finish behind NBC’s Olympics coverage (25.5 million viewers, 7.2).
The CW was the only other network to run originals, offering its soft Monday fare of “One Tree Hill” (1.9 million, 0.9) and “Life UneXpected” (1.8 million, 0.9).
