V’s “Layover” Projected To Debut With 85K US Sales, 105K Total US Units

“Layover” will be one of the week’s top albums.

Projections have arrived for V’s debut solo album “Layover,” and they foretell a strong debut for the BTS member’s first solo album.

According to Hits Daily Double, “Layover” should sell 85K US copies by the end of the September 8-14 tracking period. With units from track sales and streams included, the album should generate 105K in total first-week US consumption.

As of right now, Hits has the album pacing for #2 in both columns; only Olivia Rodrigo’s “GUTS” is expected to fare better in sales (140K) and total consumption (295K).

The #2 sales position seems very secure; it’s closest threat for #2 on the overall Billboard 200 will likely come from Zach Bryan’s self-titled album. Hits expects the album to achieve 95K in consumption this week.
