Dua Lipa & DaBaby’s “Levitating” Officially Earns #1 On Pop Radio Chart

“Levitating” came back in a big way, rising all the way to #1 at pop radio.

After peaking at #4 on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart earlier this year, Dua Lipa’s “Levitating (featuring DaBaby)” began to fade. The song was actually removed from the chart due to recurrent rules.

Epitomizing the idea of an enduring hit, “Levitating” nonetheless began to bounce back in airplay this spring. After the song posted several weeks of massive airplay gains, Mediabase reinstated the song while introducing a rule change to restore songs that are making big gains while in recurrent status.

Making good on its second opportunity, “Levitating” reached a new peak of #2 on last week’s Mediabase pop chart. This week, it moves all the way to #1.

Indeed, “Levitating” wins a tiebreaker to seize the throne from Justin Bieber’s “Peaches (featuring Daniel Caesar & GIVEON).” The Dua Lipa song received 17,513 spins during the June 6-12 tracking period; “Peaches” received the same amount, but “Levitating” wins the tiebreaker due to the larger week-over-week gain. Whereas “Levitating” is up 1,622 spins from last week, “Peaches” is down -644.

As previously reported, “Levitating” also reaches #1 on this week’s Mediabase Hot AC chart.

As for pop, Ariana Grande’s “pov” rises one spot to #3 this week. The Kid LAROI & Miley Cyrus’ “WITHOUT YOU” slips one spot to #4, and The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” holds at #5.
