Report: The 1975’s “Notes On A Conditional Form” Wins US Sales Race, But Gunna’s “Wunna” Claims #1 Overall

Albums from The 1975 and Gunna rule in this week’s split-chart scenario.

The US album race ends in yet another split-chart scenario this week, with The 1975’s “Notes On A Conditional Form” claiming #1 for album sales but Gunna’s “Wunna” ruling for overall units.

According to Hits Daily Double, “Notes” sold 38K US copies during the May 22-28 tracking period. The count more than doubles that of any other album this week.

With units from track sales and streams included, the new 1975 album generated 54K in total first-week consumption. The figure positions the album at #4 on the overall Hits Top 50 chart.

“Wunna” leads that chart with 113K units — 4K from album sales, 1K from track sales and 108K from streams. Future’s “High Off Life” (#2, 57K) and Lil Baby’s “My Turn” (#3, 55K) follow.

In its Sunday update, Billboard may share slightly different numbers — and have the Future, Lil Baby and 1975 albums ranked slightly differently on its Billboard 200 chart. The #1 landscape should nonetheless be the same – “Notes On A Conditional Form” at #1 for sales and “Wunna” at #1 for total units.
