Pop & Hot AC Radio Listeners Are Loving Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved”

Lewis Capaldi’s global breakthrough is resonating with US radio audiences.

Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” is moving toward the top of the pop and hot adult contemporary airplay charts, and it is certainly not against the will of the audience. The latest Mediabase/Critical Mass Media callout report reveals that audiences at both formats are loving the song.

Per the latest pop report, which is based on a survey of pop listeners, the song is receiving a positive reception from 67.8% of listeners, a negative reaction from just 16.8% and thus a net positive score of 51.0%. It is also receiving a “favorite” rating from 28.8%.

Of the sixteen songs in this week’s report, “Someone You Loved” has the #4 positive score, the #3 (third-lowest) negative score and the #1 “net positive” rating. It meanwhile has the #6 favorite rating.

“Someone You Loved” is receiving even more impressive marks at Hot AC. It boasts a mammoth 83.1% positive score, a 9.5% negative score, a 73.5% net positive score (after rounding) and a 39.2% favorite rating.

Of the fourteen songs in the report, it has the #1 positive score, #2 negative score, #1 net positive score and #1 favorite rating.

“Someone You Loved” should claim #2 on this week’s Mediabase Hot AC radio chart. It has a shot at #5 on the pop chart.
