“I Don’t Care,” the new collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber, just broke the single-day streaming record on Spotify.
According to Spotify, the song amassed 10.977 million global streams on Friday. The figure tops the previous record of 10.819 million, which was set by Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” this holiday season.
Given its record-breaking total, “I Don’t Care” obviously starts at #1 on the Global Spotify Streaming Chart. It also takes #1 on the US chart with 3.108 million streams.
Not simply a hit on Spotify, the song also starts at #1 on the Global Apple Music Chart. It takes #2 on the US Apple Music listing.
