BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” Reaches #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart (Update)

“Kill This Love” becomes the group’s first song to reach the Top 5.

Update: Earlier Thursday, “Kill This Love” became the first BLACKPINK song to reach the Top 5 of the US iTunes sales chart.

Thursday evening, it became the group’s first single to reach #1.

The new songs remains in that pinnacle position as of press time at 7:20PM ET Thursday. It seized the throne from Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country,” which now sits at #2.

“Kill This Love” is the title track from BLACKPINK’s new EP, due Friday.

BLACKPINK’s new single “Kill This Love” is predictably off to a hot start on the US iTunes sales chart.

The song, which launched at 11AM ET, had reached #4 on the all-genre listing as of press time at 3:10PM ET. It is the first BLACKPINK song to reach the chart’s Top 5.

The group previously peaked at #8 as part of the Dua Lipa collaboration “Kiss and Make Up.”

“Kill This Love” is the title track from BLACKPINK’s new EP, which launches on April 5.
