Terry Crews To Host “America’s Got Talent” 14; Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough Set As Judges

Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough will join Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel.

Only two of last summer’s principals will be back for season fourteen of “America’s Got Talent.”

In a Monday press release, NBC confirmed that Terry Crews will host the upcoming summer season. Crews, who currently appears as the host of “AGT: The Champions,” will replace Tyra Banks in the summer hosting role.

Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough will meanwhile join the returning Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel on this year’s judging panel. Union and Hough take over for Heidi Klum and Mel B.

“One of the many secrets to the success and longevity of ‘America’s Got Talent’ is its fearless drive to reinvent itself,” said Meredith Ahr, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment. “The next evolution of the format brings in fresh expert eyes to join Simon and Howie on the panel. Gabrielle and Julianne are two of the most aspirational women in the business, on top of being electric entertainers with talent across disciplines. I am excited to see how their knowledge, compassion and sheer joy enhance the experience for acts and viewers alike.”

Auditions for the upcoming season are underway; it should premiere in late May.
