Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” Album To Receive Big Radio Launch

Pop stations will play a song from the album every hour on Friday.

There was never any question that Ariana Grande’s new album “thank u, next” album would command ample attention upon launching late Thursday/early Friday.

The only question was exactly what that attention would entail.

Thanks to social posts from some stations, we now know at least one element: enthusiastic radio support.

Multiple iHeartMedia pop stations have confirmed plans to play a track from “thank u, next” every hour on Friday. The support will likely be in addition to the regular airplay being given to singles “7 rings” and “thank u, next.”

The eagerly anticipated album includes twelve tracks. Three — “thank u, next,” “imagine” and “7 rings” — were released in advance of the album drop. Grande has also revealed that “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored” will be a future single.
