Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” Earns #1 On Billboard Hot 100 Chart

“7 rings” will mark Grande’s second consecutive #1 debut.

Powered by dominant opening week sales and streaming numbers, Ariana Grande’s “7 rings” will be named #1 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.

Billboard is expected to make the formal announcement by Monday afternoon.

“7 rings,” which looks to have done upwards of twice as many streams and sales as any other song this week, will seize the throne from Halsey’s “Without Me.” That song was celebrating a second single-week stint atop the chart.

“7 rings” follows “thank u, next” as Grande’s second consecutive #1 debut (and second overall Hot 100 chart-topper).

In addition to sales and streaming activity, the Hot 100 accounts for radio airplay. As a new song, “7 rings” was at a disadvantage in that category. It has nonetheless garnered strong early support at the pop, hot adult contemporary and rhythmic formats.

That support, coupled with the sales and streaming figures, convincingly establishes “7 rings” as America’s hottest song.
