Shawn Mendes’ New Album Projected For 95-115K Pure US Sales, 135-155K Total US Units

“Shawn Mendes” is on track to claim #1 on this week’s Billboard 200.

Initial projections have emerged for Shawn Mendes’ new, self-titled album. They establish the album as the frontrunner for #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts.

Based on opening day data, Hits Daily Double expects Mendes’ third studio album to sell 95-115,000 pure US copies this week.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, it should generate 135-155,000 in total first-week consumption units.

The pure sales figure should be enough for a comfortable #1 bow on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. The consumption figure should meanwhile earn “Shawn Mendes” #1 on the Billboard 200.

“Shawn Mendes” is the follow-up to “Illuminate,” which debuted with 121K in pure sales and 145K in overall units. It took #1 on both album charts.

Mendes’ 2015 debut album “Handwritten” also debuted at #1 on both charts, courtesy of 106K in pure sales and 119K in total units.
