Early Sales Projections Emerge For New ASAP Rocky, Pusha T Albums

How will “TESTING” and “Daytona” sell this week?

Two noteworthy hip-hop albums entered the market Friday. Initial sales projections are now available.

According to Hits Daily Double, A$AP Rocky’s new “TESTING” is projected to sell 15-18,000 pure US copies this week. The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) should yield a first-week consumption tally of about 80-100,000 units.

Pusha T’s “Daytona” is meanwhile trending toward 18-23,000 in pure sales and 65-75,000 in total units.

Based on those consumption projections, “TESTING” and “Daytona” are expected to earn Top 5 positions on this week’s Billboard 200.

Shawn Mendes’ “Shawn Mendes” is set for #1 with 135-155,000 in total consumption, while Post Malone’s “Beerbongs & Bentleys” may stay in the ~100,000 range and thus vie for #2. No other albums are locks to outperform the Rocky and Pusha releases.
