Benefiting from the “season finale” hook and the involvement of two popular names, this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” posted week-over-week ratings gains.
Citing metered market data, NBC says the episode drew a 4.5 overnight household rating. It posted a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating in the Top 25 markets.
The numbers top the 4.3 overnight rating and 1.8 adults 18-49 rating drawn last week.
Featuring host Tina Fey and musical guest Nicki Minaj (as well as an array of celebrity cameos), this week’s episode in fact ranks as the top performer since the April 7 broadcast with Chadwick Boseman and Cardi B (4.6 in households, 2.0 in adults 18-49).
Saturday’s “SNL” marked the conclusion of the forty-third season. The show will return for season forty-four this coming fall.
