“Westworld” is only two episodes into its second season, and HBO just confirmed its interest in more.
The premium cable network just renewed “Westworld” for a third season.
“It’s been an extraordinary pleasure to work with the exceptionally talented Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, as well as their gifted cast and crew,” noted Bloys. “From the inspired storytelling to the incredible visuals, we are so excited to see where the next chapter will take us.”
News of the renewal is certainly not surprising given the show’s immense popularity (and the impending end of HBO’s flagship series “Game Of Thrones”). “Westworld” may not be a blockbuster live+same-day performer, but it posts multi-platform numbers — and generates a plethora of buzz for the netwok.
The ten-episode second season continues this coming Sunday.
