Luke Bryan’s “What Makes You Country” Pacing For 85-95K US Sales, 95-105K US Units

“What Makes You Country” will likely be this week’s top debut.

While its numbers will be a far cry from those posted by previous release “Kill The Lights,” Luke Bryan’s “What Makes You Country” is still expected to rank as this week’s best-selling debut in the US.

Based on opening day sales data, Hits Daily Double expects “What Makes You Country” to sell 85-95,000 pure US albums this week. The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) should yield a first-week consumption tally in the 95-105,000 range.

The aforementioned “Kill The Lights” debuted with 320K pure sales and 345K units in August 2015.

Despite the steep decline, “What Makes You Country” is still trending as the week’s top debut. Big Sean & Metro Boomin’s “Double Or Nothing,” which will likely be #2 among debuts, is pacing for 60-65K first week units (10-13K of which will be pure sales).

“What Makes You Country” will likely land at or near the top of this week’s overall Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts, but a specific projection is not yet available.
