U2 Scheduled To Perform On September 7 “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”

U2 will be the musical guest on Thursday’s “Fallon.”

The initial listing for the September 7 “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” only included interview guest Reese Witherspoon.

Some “Tonight Show” fans, naturally, wondered who would be taking the stage as the musical/comedy/entertainment guest.

NBC just provided the answer.

The network confirmed that U2 will play Thursday night’s “Fallon” episode. The iconic band will presumably perform one of its new songs on the broadcast.

Wednesday, September 6: Guests include Seth MacFarlane, Elisabeth Moss, Fallonventions and musical guest Thomas Rhett. Show 731

Thursday, September 7: Guests include Reese Witherspoon and musical guest U2. Show 732

Friday, September 8: Guests include James Franco, Kendall Jenner and musical guest Pete Townshend and Alfie Boe. Show 733.

Monday, September 11: Guests include Seth Meyers, Russell Westbrook and musical guest Prophets of Rage. Show 734
