Update: CBS confirms that Liam Payne will participate in a “talk and musical performance” on the September 6 “Late Late Show With James Corden.”
At press time, it is unclear whether that means he will be part of the show’s multi-guest discussion — or simply have a separate chat with host James Corden.
Jane Lynch, Jim Gaffigan and James Van Der Beek are the episode’s other discussion guests.

Next week, he will make his first solo appearance on the show.
Payne is set to perform on the September 6 edition of the CBS late-night talk show.
